THE LOFT THEATRE COMPANY CAPITAL APPEAL
- Have you ever had a great night at the Loft Theatre?
- Would you like to help ensure the Loft can go on staging compelling theatre?
- Please help us restore the building, keep you warm, or cool and dry, and also help the environment.
The Loft is Leamington Spa’s only independent live theatre. Over our 104-year history we have been funded only through our ticket sales, with no public funding from either local authorities or the Arts Council. We are now embarking on the biggest capital project for more than fifty years, as our roof and our heating, air-conditioning, and ventilating systems are in urgent need of renewal.
We are hugely grateful for all the support we have received from audience members and volunteers throughout our history. Now, we hope you may be able to support our ambition to continue creating great theatre by making a donation towards the costs of this project.
The project will secure the infrastructure of the theatre, improve the comfort of our audiences and volunteers, reduce our annual running costs, and help the environment by switching to systems that run entirely on electricity, rather than the gas systems we are currently using. The work will take place over summer 2026. The project budget is £500k and will be partly funded by grants and the use of some of our reserves, but we need to raise other funds towards the project.
